Conference Overview

The concept of success is evolving as educators shift their focus to being future-ready. As independent school educators, we have substantial influence with an opportunity to redefine success. This conference addresses finding balance among conflicting pressures, exploring methods to impact our schools and communities, and pursuing healthy growth.

Proposal Submission Form

The 2017 NCAIS Annual Educators Conference session proposals should focus on one of the three areas: balance, impact, and growth. Below are brief descriptions of each area.

Balance

These sessions may address physical and mental health, our use of technology, character education, parent relationships, and relationships between students and/or colleagues.

Impact

These are shorter, 30 minute sessions that focus on results. Presenters will include a brief overview of the lesson, program or initiative and move quickly to the resulting impact to the classroom, individuals, or school community. Demonstrable results and take-away implementation outlines are encouraged. *Impact sessions will have a higher acceptance rate.

Growth

Growth sessions will focus on the ideas, innovation, and processes of developing growth opportunities within school communities. They may include changing mindsets, introducing new learning models, redefining independent school markets, or expanding diversity and global education.
