Becoming a Legacy Leader

We have all known leaders whose legacies are almost palpable and whose spirit, passion, style, and values become a part of the fabric of the institution with which they are affiliated.  The impact and influence of these leaders live long beyond their time there.

What defines a “legacy leader” from other competent, successful leaders? Is legacy leadership teachable?  Whom do you know in NCAIS or in other regions of the independent school world, past or present, you would identify as legacy leaders?  While leadership takes many forms and reflects the personality, style, and persona of each individual, are there characteristics and practices common to all legacy leaders?

Join Dr. David Tilley, Head of School at Mount Paran Christian School (GA), Senior Advisor at Gordon College (MA), Adjunct Professor at Kennesaw State University (GA), and certified coach and Partner with CoachED, and Dr. Susan Banke, Clinical Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University (GA), certified coach and Partner with CoachED, and former independent school administrator as we engage in active conversations and personal reflections and explore research and case studies to help us understand the development and long-term impact of a legacy leader.

NCAIS Member Price: $335 | Nonmember Price: $385
