NCAIS Institute for Teachers New to Independent Schools is designed for teachers in their first few years in an independent school. The association has redesigned this event to give participants the opportunity to:

• Gain a national, regional, and state perspective of independent schools (governance and culture included)

• Explore unique differences between independent and public/charter schools

• Take and interpret the DiSC Assessment (personality assessment) and EIQ Assessment (emotional IQ) 

• Discuss best practices for parent communication

• Explore critical elements of student and parent engagement

• Reflect (personal and professional)

• Focus on growth mindset
