13-20% of youth ages 12-17 experience a mental health condition in a given year.

Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death in youth ages 10-24.

35.5% of those who died by suicide had a diagnosed mental disorder at the time of death.

These statistics are staggering and all of us are affected. Join HopeWay’s CEO and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Alyson Kuroski-Mazzei, and Dr. Tom Gettelman, Chief Clinical Officer and Director of Admissions, to learn about the most common mental illnesses, signs and symptoms to look for, and resources to help a student receive appropriate care. In addition, the speakers will discuss how mental illnesses can result in a death by suicide, some warning signs of suicidal ideation, and how we can all work together to support those in need.
