This day is designed for those in leadership positions within our independent schools who identify as diverse. Diversity means having a range of people with various racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds and various lifestyles, experiences, and interests. Diversity is a group of people who are different in the same place. 

During our time together, there will be round table discussions, opportunities to share experiences, and time for building community. Lunch is included.

Agenda:

10:00 am: Gather and Introductions
10:30 am: Book Club | Bring a favorite book or article that speaks to your journey as a leader & share a particular passage that resonates with you
11:30 am: NCAIS and the Diversity and Inclusion Conference | Let's look at the past and towards the future. Are we meeting the needs of our educators and leaders? What about our students? Where should we go from here?
12:00 pm: Lunch
12:45 pm: Roundtable Discussions
2:00 pm: Adjourn
