April 1 | Durham Academy
10am - 2pm

Come join us for a day with fellow NCAIS educational technology specialists to learn, listen, and share. The morning will begin with a short hands-on presentation around Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, and then we will spend the rest of our time together sharing and learning from each other: what is working? What areas for growth do you see in your school? What resources are most beneficial? These topics and more will be explored during our day.

Cost: $35/person

Target Audience: Educational Technologists and Teachers/Administrators who are tasked with overseeing or implementing educational technology in the classroom

Agenda:

10:00am | Gather & Introductions
10:30-11:30am | Presentation: Educational AR and VR

The food will be real, but everything else is subject to being virtual or augmented.

Learn about and investigate how your school could harness Augmented reality (AR) and Virtual reality (VR).

We will explore the use of Merge Cubes and Headsets for both AR and VR, CoSpaces Edu for creation of AR and VR environments. In addition, we will have opportunities to use Google Expeditions and Nearpod VR to see how these resources can be leveraged for curricular projects.

Time will be provided for hands on and face on learning.
