There are numerous ways to get involved with NCAIS. Our volunteers have the opportunity to connect with colleagues at other NCAIS schools, plan events, gain leadership experience, and help NCAIS outreach efforts. Below are current opportunities. Please contact us to find out more or to volunteer.

School Liaison

Each school appoints one or two School Liaison(s) who serve as the representative(s) between the school and NCAIS. School Liaison(s) meet in the fall and spring to share ideas, get to know colleagues, and learn about NCAIS events and opportunities. They receive email updates from NCAIS regularly throughout the year and are asked to share NCAIS information with school colleagues at faculty meetings.

Conference Planning Committee

Professional development is the centerpiece of NCAIS offerings and conference planning is essential to success. A variety of opportunities are available to assist in planning events in all school function areas. We also encourage NCAIS colleagues to share ideas for workshops and take a leadership role in planning programs of special interest.

Host an NCAIS Event

NCAIS is always looking for schools that have meeting space available during the school day and are willing to work with NCAIS to host an event. Host responsibilities include meeting set-up and clean-up, logistics, assistance in arranging food for the day, technology set-up and support, and providing a contact person who will coordinate with NCAIS staff during the planning process and be available as needed the day of the event.
