The SandBox Podcast Network from DumpTruck Media

The SandBox is a private, secure student podcast network built for middle and high school classrooms, designed to give every student a voice and a way to use it.

Founded by Henry Heidtmann, a 35-year NCAIS school media arts teacher who built a student-run radio station on campus, and Rich Boerner, who spent decades helping build some of the largest podcast networks in the country, The SandBox grew out of a simple observation: students given the chance to tell their story with audio improved their speaking skills, built confidence and became stronger community members. As digital natives they are naturally drawn to the medium.

The SandBox gives students a structured, curriculum-aligned way to record, edit, and publish podcast episodes to a network visible only to member schools. No media arts background required and no specialized equipment is needed. A microphone, a computer, and internet access are all it takes.

The platform includes a Topic Generator that produces episode ideas by grade level and subject in seconds, a seven-episode implementation guide hosted by a classroom teacher and an award-winning producer, and built-in recording and editing tools that let students produce complete episodes without ever leaving the platform.

NCAIS educators have always been at the forefront of using fresh and innovative learning tools. The SandBox gives those teachers another great tool to let student voice thrive. Visit our website at dumptruckmedia.com. Start your no obligation, free trial here: bit.ly/3RZNELQ
