Educational Resources

The Independent School Collaborative (ISC) works with preferred providers offering online educational resources.  Cost savings vary from 10% to almost 25% as compared to published prices. Access to these consortium-priced resources is available only to schools that are part of an association that is a member of the Independent School Collaborative.

The ACT District Model allows NCAIS schools to offer the ACT on-site during the school day to their students ONLY. Not only do students have the advantage of a familiar testing environment, but our contract allows our schools to offer them the test at a significantly reduced cost:

  • $37.50 per student for paper testing
  • $36.50 per student for online testing

ACT District Testing is available to all NCAIS schools that have at least one student testing. Two administrations are available each year: Fall and Early Spring. Your students register directly with your school, and NCAIS works with you as the ACT District Coordinator to help with the details.

ScheduleX offers faster, smarter scheduling designed specifically for independent schools. Created by former Blackbaud and Toddle team members, this AI-powered tool generates master student and teacher schedules with nearly 100% request fulfillment—all in a fraction of the time. If you’re spending more than two hours on scheduling this summer, it’s time to try ScheduleX.

Carolyn Senter, Head of Upper School at Gaston Day School and NCAIS member, shared her experience:

"We have struggled to create a schedule every year after students register for classes. Manually generating the schedule was incredibly time-consuming and often riddled with errors. Other solutions we tried were clunky and full of conflicts.

This year, we tried ScheduleX—and the results were unbelievable. We generated our entire schedule quickly with very few conflicts. Even better, it integrates seamlessly with Blackbaud, eliminating the need for manual data entry.

Now, we can register students in late April and have finalized schedules by May. It’s a total game changer. ScheduleX supports better planning and more accurate recommendations—it benefits our entire school community!"
