Outdoor Academy (The)

The Outdoor Academy is a fully-accredited boarding semester school for 10th and 11th graders nestled in the heart of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Built upon our four cornerstones of intellect, craft, environment, and community, our dynamic and honors-level curriculum integrates wilderness experiences, environmental education, and creative arts. At OA, your classes will be small and personal, your academic teachers will also be wood carvers and rock-climbing experts, and your new classmates will become lifelong friends. OA is a program of Eagle's Nest Foundation. Our mission is "experiential education for young people, promoting the natural world and the betterment of human character."
